Cpu upgrade?

I'm thinking of upgrading my cpu to an AMD X2 6000 from a X2 3800. Do you
think the supplied heatsink/fan will do the job or should i invest in a
better one?

Hello,

Speaking from my recent experience, you should definitely invest in a proper cooling solution. Since
the higher clock speed CPU produces more heat, I am pretty sure that the existing heat sink would
not be sufficient.

By 'Supplied heatsink/fan' do you mean the X2 6000 comes with the
heatsink/fan, if so as long as your not planning to overclock you should be
OK. However if you mean using your existing X2 3800 heatsink/fan, then I
would not use it, upgrade to a better cooling system.
