CPU temperature monitor

As some know, I replaced a motherboard.

The temperature from the bios reports 50C.

I downloaded speed fan. I am really not sure what it is reporting.

Couple of questions. Obvously, the monitor is not getting it's
information from the bios. How can this be different than the bios?

Why is it reporting negative numbers?
 
Why not run the mfgs desktop utility that comes with that motherboard,either
way,the desktop utilities are not as accurate as the BIOS readings will be.
