Hello

No software in XP, you will have to use 3rd party software
for that.

There's nothing built in to Windows XP that will tell you the CPU
temperature although there are quite a few utilities out there that will.
The CPU temp is often times available in the BIOS as well.

Anybody know how to get the current cpu temp from windows xp?

Go to the web site of the maker of your motherboard and get their
utility. Otherwise, use Motherboard Monitor (a freebie download).

No matter what software you use, your motherboard must have the sensors in
order to read the temps. Refer to the documentation for your MB.

It will show the temp during the time you are in the BIOS,
but not during time while booted and under load, when the
temp would be highest.

Intel has a monitor for its mobo, MBM is free and works with
newer mobo sensors and AIDA32 will show temps.

| Just go to your bios setup and it will tell you your CPU
| temp.
