CPU running at 100%, help

Tod

I have a two year old Dell running Win XP PRO.
The computer is running very very slow, CPU is always at 100%, and the
virtual memory is 2000MBs.
MacAfee anti-virus expired two months ago.
Tried a recovery install, after 5 hours still would not finish reloading.
Tried wiping hard drive, even removed Dells EISA boot partition.
So with a fresh primary partition, tried reinstalling again,
still would not finish installing after 3 hours.
Any ideas ?

I'm not a Tech but I would hit cntrl/alt/delete and see how many processes or
programs are running and see if you can find which one is pulling all the
cpu's. If nothing shows up being the culpret then you might have a hidden
program or virus eating up your cpu's. Good Luck!
