CPU previously Shut Down due to Thermal Event ( Overheating)

230 W ATX

Problem:On Booting following message comes
CPU previously Shut Down due t
Thermal Event ( Overheating)
Press F4 to continue.F2 to enter setup.Bu
neither function is working.Displays
Entering Setup ,but doesn't do so.No error beeps are encountere

All fans are running.Keyboard & Mouse are detected.Also it say

"service the unit to resolve this".

How can i resolve this problem..
Plz.... help me...

My first guess is that you're heatsink is not seated properly and/or
does not have any thermal compound between it and the processor.

Any chance this is a Dell? I've seen this happen when the caps start
leaking on the motherboard (Nichicon parts.)

The capacitors next to your CPU probably have a light brown substance
on top of them indicating its time for a new motherboard.

I am facing very similar problem in my very similar configuration
system. This is 3GHZ. But in my system after the thermal over
heating message, i got a siron like beep. Now after many attempts,
it is starting with BIOS setup screen and b4 i enter anything, system
goes off.

What solution u got for your problem. This is urgent and pls reply to
my id privately @ (e-mail address removed)
