My wife's computer is running the latest version of
Windows XP and has all the critical updates for Windows
and IE. Occasionally when a link is clicked and IE tries
to display a window, the CPU usage by the process
iexplore.exe goes to 100% (as shown in the Task Manager
obtained by Ctrl Alt Delete) and the system hangs. The
data captured to be sent to Microsoft is:
szAppName : iexplore.exe szAppVer : 6.0.2800.1106
szModName : hungapp szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset :
00000000
Technical Info
C:\DOCUME~1\Frances\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER8B.tmp.dir00
\iexplore.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Frances\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER8B.tmp.dir00
\appcompat.txt
Looking at the "appcompat.txt" I'm wondering if it has
something to do with unexpected fonts in the page to be
displayed. Can anyone help me fix this?
TIA,
Brad
