cpu and power consumption

a general question.

if a software is using about 20-30 precent of CPU most of it's running time,
will this cause more power consumption of the machine?

Yes, the power consumption will increase as the CPU work rate
increases. Increasing the RAM may help, also try and stop any other
unwanted background processes whilst running a power hungry software.

regarding the RAM, i don't have a problem with consuming computing resources
of the machine.
my question is about the electricity power being consumed by the machine.
so is the electricity power being used by the machine is also increased when
CPU load increases?
