Hello,

I have an AMD Athlon 2600 xp 2ghz. According to the system analysis, I
have only around 1.1 ghz. Where and how should I change the values in
BIOS to get to the 2ghz level?

Thanks.

What motherboard are you using? Often there's a jumper on the board that
defaults to 100MHz for the FSB. You'll need to change this jumper to 133
or 166, I don't recall the FSB of that CPU offhand.

I'm going to die rather sooner than I'd like. I tried to protect my
neighbours from crime, and became the victim of it. Complications in
hospital following this resulted in a serious illness. I now need a bone
marrow transplant. Many people around the world are waiting for a marrow
transplant, too. Please volunteer to be a marrow donor:

Thanks Old Jon, but I've got the manual already. What in CPU clock and
CPU ratio in BIOS should I change to get to the 2 ghz level where the
CPU should be running at?

old jon says: What you need to do is change the FSB (front side buss)
speed from 100, to 133. So see if you have FSB in your BIOS. It is also
normally possible to move jumpers on your motherboard to adjust the FSB.
(the reason for the manual <g>.) best wishes..OJ
