Help! I'm stumped.

If column A is list of colours , with 100 text entries (rows) and the
word 'Green' appears randomly 32 times, Blue 41 times and Red 27 times.
What is the formulae that would produce the result of Green 32, Blue 41,
Red 27.

There is no such beast per see, you can combine 3 formulas and concatenate
them and add the commas like in

=greenformula&", "&blueformula&", "&redformula

=COUNTIF($A$1:$A$100,"*Red*")
=COUNTIF($A$1:$A$100,"*Green*")

or (a little fancier)

D1: Red
D2: Green

E1: =COUNTIF($A$1:$A$100,"*"&D1&"*")
E2: =COUNTIF($A$1:$A$100,"*"&D2&"*")

Does that help?

Thanks Peo

I forgot the comma's can be part of the code.
