Countif with

I'm trying to figure out how I can do a "Countif" formula
when comparing a column of dates with one particular date.
For example: 12/1/04; 11/27/04; 12/4/04 and comparing it
to 11/30/04. Countif date in set 1 is greater than
11/30/04?

=COUNTIF(your_range,">" & DATE(2004,11,30))
