COUNTIF/SUMIF WITH REFERENEC

Hi

We are trying to do something similar to CountIF or SUMIF but we need the
criteria to reference a cell rather than a set number. Is this possible and
how?

This is not working for what we need -- we are trying to count how many are
larger than a certain number which may change.

In Cell A1 I currently have 8000
In Cell B1 I have =COUNTIF(C1:c15,">8000") What we need is to be able to have
a formula that says, count if the range is greater than A1
