Countif question

I have a spreadsheet at work that contains 3 colums, the first contains a letter A or B, the second a name and the third a number(shift hours). What I am trying to do is automate the spreadsheet so that on another part of the page I can get Excel to count the number of A's that are on a set number of hours ie: find all the A's that are on 20 hours and place that number in a box. that figure is then used in another calculation.

Any help would be much appreciated as this is quite a drag to do manually at the moment
