Countif or Dcount ??

Hi Folks,

Am stuck. I have a list of test results in the range A2:A10. (A1 has been named Test1 Results). The results range from 2points to 10points.

Now A person to clear Test1 needs to score greater than or equal to 7points. I have shown this cut-off in cell A12.

I want a count of all people who have scored more than the score I have shown in cell A12.

=COUNTIF(A2:A10,">=A12") doesnt work.

Could you help me out. Thanks for your time.
