I have a spreadsheet with over 30,000 rows. I am am trying to use the COUNTIF
formula to count the number of cells with specific text, but it doesn't seem
to be working. Is there a limit on the number of cells that excel can
process? Do the cells have to be formatted a certain way in order to be
counted in the formula? Please help!!!!

Hi,

30,000 is not a limit for this function. In 2003 you are limited to 65,536
rows and in 2007 the COUNIF can work with a maximum of 1,048,576 rows.

What does your data look like and what exactly is the formula?
