Could Not Lock File Message

I am an administrator for an application where I volunteer. After I was
successful logging on on 6/1/09, on 6/3//09 and later I receive the message
"Could Not Lock File" whenever I try to start the application. Our network
person has not been successful resolving the issue.

Check to see if you had read/write privilages to the folder containing the DB
- not the DB itself

You will be able to log in with only read privilages but only if you are the
only person using the application or you're the 1st

may not be this but I always check the simple stuff 1st
 
When all other users log out, I am able to log on and do anything I need to
do, but when anyone else is logged on first and the .ldb file exists before I
log on, it responds with the message "Could not lock file."
