valid"

Does anybody know what this means and what can remedy it? Using 2003

What are you doing when this error comes up?

User is in Notes folder, leaving pc idle and then coming back to it. I have
found several articles but all blame it on Synchronising software. This is a
new machine with no synching software on it as we use wireless with our PDA
devices

Have you tried to delete and recreate the Outook profile on the PC/laptop? If
you're using a PST, don't import/open it.
Another thing to try is to (first unhide hidden folders and files) search
for the following files:

outcmd.dat
frmcache.dat
extend.dat

Rename them all, for example rename outcmd.dat to outcmd.dat_old. Then open
Outlook.

Let me know what happens.

Thanks for the reply

I tried the second suggestion. It worked for a day and then the problem
returned, plus i was asked to justify my actions and i couldn't as i couldn't
find the site i picked it up from

I have not got the privileges for the first option but i have suggested it
to the powers that be
