Could not change from "Workgroup" to "Dommain" in Win XP

How do I change settings from workgroup to dommain on win
XP? Trying to do as follow: My computer -> proppertys ->
computer name -> nettwork-ID to change settings from
workgroup to Dommain but computer would not allow me to
do so, eder not delite nettwork konnections to mace a new
one.
Should have the win XP computer as a part of a small
dommain nettwork, but need help
 
Instead of selecting network ID, select Change. Click on
Domain and enter the name of the Domain you are trying to
join.
 
Have tryed to click on domain also to change but it would
not accset it. It refer to DNS or/and WINS but this is no
option cince server use DHCP. (Recive IP, DNS o.l.
automatic)
