Hello,
We have a user who is trying to log into a specific
computer (running W2KSP4). Once he enters his username and
password, the login script runs, and that's it. No
taskbar; no icons. He can CTRL+ALT+DEL, to bring up Task
Manager. From there, I can start Outlook, but it won't
work right. But, I can't even start explorer.exe; says
access to the file is missing/denied/whatever. It's only
on this one computer; he can log in to another computer in
the same room just fine. We've tried deleting his profile
folder under "Documents and Settings"; didn't help. One
tech support guy said to make sure he had permissions to
the "Documents and Settings" folder (which we accomplished
by making him a Power User on that system); didn't help.
We're fresh out of ideas, and the user's going crazy (and
trying to drive us crazy!). So any ideas would be greatly
appreciated.
Sincerely,
"David Frost"

Hope it helps. If not,
