Corrupted print view

one of our users has created a grid (a page full of 1/4"
squares in the print layout view. Does anyone know if
that view is simply a template file that I can replace?
Deleting the normal.dot file did not solve the problem. I
even reinstalled office suite, but it's still there. Very
weird. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

.
View, toolbars, drawing. From the "Draw" button, select
Grid, remove checkmark from display gridlines on screen.

Display the Drawing toolbar and select Draw | Grid. Clear the check box for
"Display gridlines on screen."
