corrupted files

I just changed from windows me to xp. I saved all my files onto floppy disk
and then loaded them into into xp. However on one of my disks( containing 56
files ) is unreadable.( just symbols ) The icon displayes the file title and
says the file is encrypted How do i recover the files ?

Rightclick the file then click Properties and check the "Read Only" box
Click Apply and OK
