Hi!

I have a permanent problem with downloading exe files from Internet using a
browser. When I try to start them I always get an error that the file is
corrupted. I tried various scenarios, for example I used the Ethernet or
wireless connection (2 different adapters installed with no errors
indicated by the operating system), but the problem prevails. The same when I
try Explorer or Firefox.

Despite this problem, my Internet connection works fine. I have no troubles
with downloading other content like video or audio (even large files).

I use Win XP with embedded SP2.

Thank you for any hint.

Kamulose, I am having the exact same problem...the internet connection is fine, three other computers on a wireless network using the same connection all work fine and download files fine, but the one in question refuses to run exe files downloaded on the machine in question. I can download files on one of the other computers, copy the file to the "subject" computer and rune the file fine...If you or anyone discover the fix for this, I'd love to hear the answer. Thanks in advance!

George
