Today, my computer has retuned a character that looks like an
upside-down L, (or a vertical 7) when I type a lower case 'l' in
windows. I noticed when I was unable to log into our firm vpn from home
as my password was rejected (in contains the letter 'l'). I had logged
on earlier in the morning. I have made no changes to my system. It does
not appear to be a hardware problem as, as you can see, the 'l''s in
this web message appear fine. In fact, I tried to copy this character
from a text file I created to test, and when it is pasted into this
message, it appears proper as 'l'. Additionally, if I go to a dos
prompt - the character appears properly.

I tried to restore to yesterday's restore point -- but windows tells me
that no changes have been made to my system.

As always, help is greatly appreciated.
