corrupt windows

when i try to logon to windows the error reads

\windows\sytem32\config\system

i have tried to fix with recovery console and tried to
use the help file 307545 in knowledge dtabase but it says
from step one i cant copy the file.

i need to access files in my documents anyone have any
ideas how i can access these important files.

please help
