corrupt .pst = can view but not copy messages to new .pst

(sorry for cross-posting (from microsoft.public.outlook), i wasn't sure
where to put this request)

Hi, i had a hard disk fail while outlook 2003 was open. The .pst got
corrupted but i managed to recover it and transfer it to a new machine and
ran scanpst.exe on it until all the errors were fixed. Some data was lost
but most of my messages are intact.

I can view *all* of my messages just fine and reply or forward them etc. but
I cannot move or copy a lot of them at all to a new 'clean' .pst. When i try
moving or copying these messages, i get a "Can't move the items. Could not
complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid" error
box. I have tried exporting the individual messages and folders and
re-importing them etc but the error remains.

Any suggestions please?

If they are uncopyable / moveable, is there a way to forward / resend them
to keep the original sender id and date etc?

Any help much appreciated,
matthew

A couple of things to try
1) Open OL with the safe switch
2) Create a new profile and add your pst's
3) Try Archiveing the msgs, select a very recent date, and archive to a new
named folder, then open this pst in OL see if you are then able to move msgs
to the 'virgin' pst
I know MS provides free email support for win I assume the same applies to
Office/OL (maybe only retail versions)

Thanks for the suggestions but sadly none of them worked. I have had some
success by exporting the mail messages from the 'bad' .pst as CSV's and
importing them into the 'good' .pst but lose some of the header
information - mainly the date, so i guess the send date got corrupted
somewhere along the line!?
