CORRUPT FILE

CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE WITH THE FOLLOWING WHEN I TURN ON
MY COMPUTER I KEEP THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE

Windows could not start because the following file is
missing
or corrupt:
\windows\system32\c_437.nls

you can attempt to repair this file by starting windows
setup
using the original setup CD-ROM.
Select "r" at the first screen to start repair GETTING

Do this:
A. Get out your XP CD and keep it handy.
B. Start/Run/type "cmd" (less Quote markers), and click "OK".
C. In the subsequent Command Prompt window, type "sfc /scannow" [again,
less Quote markers], and press the keyboard "Enter" key.
This will run the System File Check Tool. If a necessary system
operating file is missing or corrupted, the tool will instruct you to
load your XP CD and will replace/repair the file from it.
