corrupt file

every time click on my file a message comes up saying
corrupt file and i cant go on any of my documents and it
takes ages to dial up to the internet.
please help me

Impossible to give you a response based on the information you have posted.

What do you mean by "my file," are you able to get to a Windows desktop when
you click your user name on the Welcome screen? Is that what you mean or is
there some file to which you are referring?
