corrupt file

Cole

I downloaded a pptx file from the internet, did a bunch of work on it, saved
it, and closed it. when I saved it, I was not prompted to choose a location
or name, so I assumed it would have done it automatically. And when I
exited, it clicked out without prompting me to save, so I assumed it was
saved. The file now it seams is corrupt and unopenable. How can I open it
or get my work back? Or is it saved in a place that I just don't know about
(pretty sure this is not the case)? There is a file that I cannot open with
the name of the file I downloaded.

PLEASE HELP!
Thanks

When you downloaded it from the internet did you save it to your HD before you started to work on it?

It might be in your Temporary Internet Files folder.

If you find that file but cannot open it, you can try opening a new, blank
file and using Insert | Slides from File (2003) or Home | New Slide | Reuse
Slides (2007) to insert the slides from the file. Sometimes it works.
