Corrupt File - Windows XP

Recieving message of corrupt PARTMGR.SYS file. It then
tells me to remove any newly loaded software or
hardware. None has been loaded. Any ideas?
 
Go to start,type:cmd At the curser type:Sfc /Scannow
Insert the xp cd,exit the xp page,when the bar graph
finishes remove cd,type:EXIT Then restart computer.
