I have a Gateway that my dad gave to me. it's old,
P2,getting older by the minute. recently, xp shut down &
gave me a message that a driver had been downloaded that
was trying to corrupt my system. it says to "remove the
driver from the kernel stack" as well as any recently
downloaded software, after disabling shadowing and caching
by bios to fix the problem.

any ideas? or should i just can it and get a new
computer? how about a dell?

thanks a lot!
