Hi all,

I have tried all the usual avenues for repairing a A2K
db. I rember a year or 2 back Norton Disk Doctor could be
used to get at the raw data. What the current software
for doing this and what is the mdb file structure?

TIA

The .mdb file structure is proprietary and not publicly documented.
There are third-party services which can recover corrupt .mdb files
(sometimes); see the links (and suggestions) at

http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm

for some possible solutions.

Some corruption is so thorough that the data simply no longer exists
in any form (try opening a .mdb file in Word and saving it, for
example... but don't do this on a .mdb that you want to ever use
again!) Backups are NOT optional!
