I am getting this error: The database needs to be repaired or isn't a
database file.

I am getting this on my backend database and need some help in trying to
recover this database.

If worse comes to worse I do daily backups of my data, so we will only lose
one day, buy if anyone can help me get this fixed I would appreciate it.

Thank you for your assistance,
~John

Check out the suggestions at Tony Toews' excellent FAQ;

The backend database may not be repairable, but you may well be able
to stop or cut down on the incidence of corruption. Prime suspects:
bad network cards (JET databases are EXTREMELY susceptible to network
noise) or users rebooting or stopping queries in midstream (an offense
which should be punished by requiring said employee to type in all the
data that was lost as a result).
