I am the sole user of my computer and appear to have a
corrupted name. How can I creat a new name as
Administrator, deleting my current one and still be able
to access the same files I am at this time? I am using
Windows SP Home Edition Version 2002, Upgraded from Me.
Thanks

You can create a new user profile and give it administraor
priveleges. Then delete the Administrator's profile (not
account!!) by right clicking on My Computer -> Properties -
Advanced tab -> User Profiles Settings -> Highlight the
profile you want to delete, and select the Delete button.
Then you can log off and log on as administrator (if you
don't use the welcome screen), which will recreate the
administrator profile from the default users profile.
