corrup system file

Hello , I have the following problem. When I booth up I
get the following message : win/system32/config/system
file missing or corrupt

I have reset my bios to the default values , but this
keeps on happening
 
This error is because Windows cannot find the system registry hive file. I
suggest you boot from your Windows XP disc and select repair.
