Corporate Powerpoint Theme

Hey Everyone, I have a few questions. :)

1) I have a SWF file that I would like to include with my Theme, as
opposed to having to distribute two files. I have the SWF working when
the SWF file is outside the Thmx and so I thought I'd try finding a
spot in the Thmx file that I could put the SWF (renamed the theme to
a .zip and tried putting the swf in various places). No matter where I
put the SWF, it broke the theme. Is there anyway to include the SWF
file with the theme?

2) I've also read about how to do custom installs of powerpoint so
that the corporate theme can be included in the install... but is
there a way to push this new theme to everyone's machine?

What do you mean by "it broke the theme"? What happened? How are you
inserting the SWF? Why are you trying to add it to the unzipped THMX file?
Why not just put it on the slide master / slide layout in an Active X
control the way you'd normall add a SWF?

It may be a moot point, though -- there's a bug that causes SWFs not to be
embedded in PPT 2007, even though it seems like they are. Actually, the SWF
is embedded, but it won't play in PPT 2007 -- so you'll have to include the
SWF as a separate file anyway for 2007 users.

I don't know the details, but basically you can push out templates using a
log-in script. You might have better luck posting this part of your question
in, mmm, maybe a Windows group. Here's where the themes and templates need
to be stored: http://www.echosvoice.com/2007/whatgoeswhere.htm

Hrmm... That kind of sucks. I guess the main issue is distributing the
powerpoint template across the company and assuming everyone knows how
to put the SWF in the right location and what not.

If it has to be two separate files, then there's nothing I can do. ;)

Thank you sir!
