Copyrighting photos on my web page Help

I want to copyright photos and remove the annoying save bar that appears
everytime I move the mouse over a picture on my website before I publish it
to the web. Does anyone know if this is possible in Frontpage? Also how to
accomplish this task. I can't stand how the images get the yellow save over
button everytime I send it to preview. Thanks for any help or support.

You can read about copyright, and apply for ones here:

Save bar?

If you publish it, you have copyrighted it. You don't need to apply for
anything, no?

Correct, unless you would want to take legal action in attempt to get compensation.

True, but your case would be much stronger if you could prove damages and
actually brought suit.

The proving damages is the hard part. Whether you actually secured a
copyright or just put a notice on the page is nearly irrelevant, I believe.
But - you must do one or the other, I think.

You are supposed to have a copyright notice someplace on the site is about
all.

You don't really even need that, but if you are feeling litigeous, it makes
your life easier! 8)

It's incredibly difficult proving damages. I brought a tradename/mark
infringement suit against another company. It was gonna cost me about 60K to
get through discovery...hiring CPAs in another state to investigate the
infringing company's books to see what clients they had stole from me (under
my contract) was gonna cost a bundle...not to mention the stress. I did
prevail in binding mediation but is was a nightmare. So, over the 2.5 years
this went on, I learned a lot about copyright/trademark/tradename stuff. And
it's really worse if the infringer has deeper pockets than the
infringed-upon.

Yep. Kinda makes me laugh when I read posts about protecting an image on the
web.

| Yes. As they say - you go in like a pig and you come out like a sausage.
