Copyright question

I created a DB from scratch - did not use any existing code. An existing
vendor's product was developed using another DB platform (not Access).
However, the format (i.e., many of the fields) of some of the forms/reports
that I have developed resemble the format of some of the forms/reports from
the existing vendor's product. Will I have a copyright issue?

Sounds like a good question to consult a lawyer about.

I would not take any "advice" that you receive in this newsgroup as a
legally binding statement. Just because we suggest it will be fine (or not)
does not mean that is the case. Do you really want to make an important
legal decision based on advise from a bunch of strangers in a newsgroup?

I agree with Rick about consulting a lawyer. However, this is usually not a
problem unless you are going to sell the database you have created, or try to
pass your database off as the vendor's product.
