copying worksheet

Hi

I have been trying to copy and save a worksheet in the same workbook.
I would like to do this and remove the formulas and links etc.
How can I do this and make sure they are a permanent copy which is read
only. I have validation lists etc in the worksheet and they can still
be changed even when they are protected

Andrew,

Instead of "Move or Copy," which copies the sheet object, try selecting all
the cells (Ctrl-A), then into the new sheet, do Edit - Paste special -
Values. You can then apply protection. First lock all the cells (Format -
Cells - Protection - Locked; click the "Locked" box until it's empty -- not
a gray box, or a check mark). Now apply the sheet protection (Tools -
Protection - Protect Sheet).
