If I have a cell that has a fill color, if I copy that cell then the fill
color is also copied to the new cell. Is there any to copy without also
copying the fill color?

Excel 2003, SP3

Thanks,
Don Culp

You can control what to paste over when you paste it
Use Edit > Paste Special, the options are there
eg, use Paste Special > Check "Values" > OK
to paste over only the values

Hi Don,

To copy only the contents of the cell (excluding format) you may try the ff:

1. Select first the cell you wish to copy then Edit => Copy
2. Select destination cell then Edit => Paste Special => Values => Ok

Hope this helps!
