Hello,

sorry for the crossposting, but I wasn't quite sure which group is the
right one, so please bear with me. :)

In order to maintain some sort of "group profile" (i.e. one mandatory
profile shared between a group of users that have the same profile
path), I would like to copy profiles between users. This works fine
with System/Advanced/User Profiles/Copy To. However, I would like to
automate this using a command line tool for Windows or Linux (I use the
Samba3 server).

Does anyone know what tool I could use?

Thanks
Florian

Hi,

I have 1200 users that all share the same one profile on the server.
It is a Mandatory Roaming Profile with everyone having "read" access
to it. It works great. If this is what you want then you don’t need to
copy profiles between users unless you want to give them the ability
to change it and have the changes saved. My users profile doesn’t
change. However, I have redirected the registry for Favorites,
Cookies, and Desktop Picture to their Home Directory so they can
modify those.

Cheers,

Lara

thanks for your feedback, that sounds great and promising. ;-) I will
try that and get back to you and this newsgroup when I have more
questions.

Thanks a lot!
