Roaming profiles

I would like to use a single user account in mutilple remote locations. When
a user logs on with this user account, a mandatory roaming profile will be
loaded. But here lies the problem: I want the roaming profile to be loaded
from a server that is within the LAN not from across the WAN.In the PROFILE
tab of the user account, there is a box to enter the profile path, but if I
enter a single location, the profile willl travel across the WAN in most
instances. Is there a wildcard I can use in the PROFILE PATH box that will
default to the location of the local server? If this is possible, I can keep
a copy of the roaming profile at each site, so that it always loads locally.

I believe if you set up a DFS, with a dfs 'point' at each remote office, and
assuming your sites are configured correctly in AD, point the profile to the
dfs name and it /should/ pull it from the closest server (don't want to say
local copy, but you know what I mean).
