Does anyone know how you can copy the current screen to
paste into a word document? I want to copy a webpage
where it shows the entire page including address bar and
such to paste into a manual. Any help would be much
appreciated.

Does this work only for WIN XP? It doesn't work for W2K (at least my installations of W2K.) I've always done <print screen> then <ctrl V> to paste into WordPad or Word then printed from there

The only drawback I have found is that this only copies the visible area of the screen and not the actual page

If you want just the active window, try Alt + Print Screen. I have w2k and
that works just fine.

You are correct, it will only capture what is on the screen.

Instead of using <Ctrl><v>, I've used Paste Special, and Device independent
bitmap.

As it does in all versions of Windows, pressing the <PrtScn> key
copies the entire display to the clipboard. Pressing <ALT>+<PrtScn>
copies only the active Window to the clipboard. To view the screen
capture, open a graphics program, such as MS Paint, and press
<CTRL>+V. This will paste the contents of the clipboard (your
screenshot) into the open file, and allow you to view it or save it as
a file for later use.

You're just repeating what I just posted. Have you got me killfiled or do
you read what's in the thread before posting?

Gee, I'm sorry. Do you live in a different space-time continuum,
where posts get propagated to every news server in the world
simultaneously? Or does your news server only permit one correct
answer per question? Anyway, I'll make note for future reference that
you're offended if someone else confirms your answers.

I'm not offended, Bruce. I just wondered if you had read my post before you
posted yours.
