How do I copy worksheet formatting, inc. custom headers,
footers, column & row formatting across all the worksheets
in a workbook?

Hi
one way: formating them all at the same time:
- group the sheets (hold down the SHIFT key while selecting the sheets)
- apply the format to a cell, column, row

You can also select the entire sheet with CTRL+A and do Edit / Copy, then group
your sheets and with the first sheet still fully selected do Edit / Paste
Special / Formats, and all Column/Row/fomats etc will be applied throughout the
workbook.

Thanks ... that works: is there any other way to copy
formatting from one sheet to another? I set up one sheet
as a running tally of "events" and then decided to break
it up into monthly sheets instead of having one very long
one, and was "hoping" I could just copy the sheet and it'd
carry its formatting with it ... not to be, though: found
a visual basic solution, but who wants to go to all that
trouble? This is excel 97, by the way ... maybe in
v.03 "copy sheet" does copy the formatting or has an
option to do so ...

Enquiring minds ...
