Not enough information.

If you have an external hard disk drive or are on a network with the two
computer and KNOW what *files* you want - copy them.

Use F.A.S.T. (Files and Settings Transfer Wizard) built into Windows XP to
transfer files and settings from your old to your new PC - google for it or
use the built in help and support to give you the explanation of it.

You will be uninstallaing applications from the old computer and installing
programs on the new computer - you are not going to "transfer" most
applications any other way.

If the old pc has a cd or dvd burner, just burn data files to disk and then
copy and paste to the new drive.
