Copying music to a CD

I have legally (paid for) downloaded music to my
computer's hard drive and now want to copy it to a CD.
The problem I am having is that when I try to copy the
playlist to my CD-RW drive, the Media Player does not
recognize it, It wants to let me copy the music to
either: Compact Flash (Drive G), Memory Stick (Drive H),
Multi Media (Drive I) or SMart media (Drive J). It does
gie me the option of copying it to an external drive, but
I do not have one set up.

Any idea as to why my media player is not recognizing
either my CD drive or my DVD drive? THis problem is
driving my daughter (and consequently me) crazy....

are you saying that your computer doesn't recognize your cd and dvd drives?
If so, see code 39 at marfers notes at
www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/xp_notes.htm and keep this site handy. It also
has links to Kellys Korner and Doug Knox.

It appears to only happen when using Media Player. I
will try the code 39 and see if that helps. Appreciate
the link.
