When copying(by drag and drop) messages from Outlook to folders in my
computer, like My Documents, the "Author" field is not updated. It will be
nice if the "Author" field could be updated with the creator("From" field in
Outlook) of the message.

Example:

Outlook view:
From Subject Received Size
Joe Doe message 9/23/2006 11KB

Windows Explorer view:
Name Size Type Author
message.msg 11KB Outlook Item

Thanks.

I voted, but I am not very optimistic. Even in Outlook 2007 the drag
and drop methode is the same as it was in outlook 2003, 2002, 2000 and
even outlook 97..
In case you save the e-mail with mailtofile (www.mailtofile.com/en/),
the author field and subject field of the file are filled in!
By the way the date/time stamp of the file is set by mailtofile to the
send on time stamp! (Or this could be another post for Microsoft.)
