Hi, I'd like to copy and paste the data in this web page:

ftp://ftp.ngdc.noaa.gov/paleo/icecore/antarctica/vostok/deutnat.txt

into excel.

Trouble is, I'm just getting it all in one column. For example, the
first row "0 0 -438 0.00" is all in one cell, rather than four
separate cells. How would I go about automatically inserting them into
seperate columns.

Thanks for any help

Copy and paste the data into a text file, then open the text file in Excel.
You will be prompted with the Text Import Wizard. In Step 1 choose delimited
(already selected here), step 2 tab delimiter(again, it's the default), step
3 select format for each column (though General is probably your best
option).
