Copying from scractched CD

I have a 15 minute video file on a cd, when i watch it, in middle it will
skip a few seconds because it is scratched. But otherwise it is viewable.
But when I copy it to the HD, it says cant copy because of cycle redundency
check. Is there a way for me to copy still, I dont mind if it will skip a
little when i after it is copied.

thank you

Are you sure it is scratched. Sometimes it might just be a smudge. Have
you tried gently cleaning or wiping the CD as sometimes that can resolve
such issues. Other than that, the other response about data recovery might
be necessary. I would use the search term, CD Data Recovers and see what
that turns up as there are some utilities out there that might help with
this issue.

Take the CD to a nearby Blockbuster or Hollywood and ask them if they can
run it thru a disk cleaner. Most will do it for free just to have you as a
customer.

Not sure if the trial version lets you recover though? I mean I don't
think I'd buy it for one small file but if the trial is full capability
give it a shot.........
