copying formatting sales

I am trying to copy a range of formatted cells with text
in them from one sheet to another. When I copy, it paste
the text but not the cell format. It seems everyone has
that problem. Does anyone know how to get them format to
copy also???

Hi Bob,

I don't know why that would be happening, but since no one else has
answered, I'll give it a try:

What formatting doesn't get copied? If you change the font color to
red, does the red font color not get copied?

Is it by any chance the column width that isn't being copied? If so,
Edit | Paste Special | Column Widths should do it.
