Copying (and protected worksheets)

I frequently copy the first worksheet of data into two or three other
worksheets, and then I protect the original data in worksheet1.

Today, for some reason, when I try to copy other cells from worksheet 4 to
worksheet 5, Excel just copies all the data from worksheet1 again. I don't
know if the clipboard is not being emptied, or what.

Any suggestions?

You can manually clear the clipboard by going to Edit-> Office
Clipboard. Not sure if that will help though. Try just restarting
excel.
