Copying and pasting subtotals ??? Easier way?

I have the need to do periodic reports of employee wages. I have the weekly
earnings (gross, withheld taxes, social security, etc, and net pay for each
employee during the month. At the end of the month I sort this list by
employee name and get subtotals from the Data menu. I can hide the detail
and just view the subtotals for the data I need. All is fine to that point.
But what I need to do is to be able to copy just the subtotaled data
(monthly earnings totals per employee) and transfer those to another
worksheet. I haven't found an easy way of doing this without taking them
one line (employee) at a time and copying and 'pase special' the values to
the 2nd worksheet.
If I try to copy more than one employee's totals I get the underlying data
which gives bogus results on my 2nd worksheet.
I have been doing this by hand for waaay too long. There has to be an
easier way...either to automate the process or at least allow me to manually
select ALL the subtotals only and paste the values to the 2nd sheet.
Any help... especially examples would be most appreciated.

Get the data the way you want it, select it all, do Edit / Go To / Special / Visible cells only,
then do Edit / Copy and then do Edit Paste Special / Values wherever you want it to appear.
